When does the 2026 Türkiye Bursları application window open and close?

The 2026 Türkiye Bursları (YTB) application window runs from 10 January 2026 to 20 February 2026 — about 40 days. Inside that window, applicants from anywhere except Türkiye must register on the Türkiye Scholarships Information System (TBBS), complete every required field, upload the supporting documents, and submit the final application.
Applications submitted after 20 February 2026 are not considered. The process is online from start to finish and free. No agency, broker, or "consultant" needs to be involved — anyone charging you to apply on your behalf is selling you a service YTB doesn't require and doesn't recognise.
Watch-outs
- TBBS slows down or crashes in the final 48 hours. Hundreds of thousands of applicants submit at once, and the portal cannot absorb that load. Submit days before the deadline, not hours before.
- Use a supported browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari 5+, Edge). Other browsers and older versions throw Error 504 or fail uploads silently — you think the document attached, but it didn't.
- The deadline is Turkish Time (TRT, UTC+3). Calculate from Türkiye's clock, not your local time. A submission timestamped 23:59 your local time can be past midnight in Türkiye and rejected as late.
Next step
Create your TBBS account well before the window closes. Save your security question and answer somewhere outside the portal — losing access mid-application is a common failure mode and the recovery path runs through that answer. Submit at least 5 days before 20 February.
